After-Sales Service & Support

Technical support for your extraction or distillation plant after handover — remote troubleshooting, on-site service visits as needed, spare parts and preventive maintenance guidance.

Request Service

Mechotech provides after-sales support throughout the operating life of an extraction or distillation plant. The relationship does not end at handover: our engineering team remains available to help you keep the plant running as intended.

Support can include remote troubleshooting, on-site service visits as needed, spare-parts supply, preventive maintenance guidance and operator training. The exact scope for your plant is confirmed after we review the equipment and the issue you raise.

What This Service Delivers

  • Remote troubleshooting by our engineering team
  • On-site service visits as needed
  • Spare parts enquiries through one channel
  • Preventive maintenance guidance
  • Operator training, where included in scope
  • Link to AMC for planned maintenance
  • One technical team across mechanical, process and automation
  • Long-term technical partner for your plant

1How We Support Your Plant

After-sales support is organised around what your plant needs at the time. A simple question may be resolved remotely; a mechanical, process or control issue may need a site visit.

  • Remote troubleshooting: Our engineers review the symptoms, photographs, videos, alarms and operating readings you share, and recommend the next step.
  • On-site service visits as needed: Where an issue cannot be resolved remotely, an on-site visit can be arranged. Scope and scheduling are agreed with you.
  • Spare parts: Replacement components can be enquired for through the same channel. See our Spare Parts & Replacement Components service.
  • Preventive maintenance guidance: Guidance on routine checks and renewal of wear items, and an Annual Maintenance Contract where planned maintenance is preferred.
  • Operator training: Training for new or existing operators on safe and consistent operation of the plant, where included in scope.

2When to Contact Us

You can raise a service request for situations such as:

  • Abnormal operation, alarms or interlock trips on the plant or its control system.
  • Leakage, unusual noise or vibration, or wear on seals, gaskets, drives and agitators.
  • Vacuum, heating, cooling or solvent-recovery performance that no longer looks right.
  • A change in throughput, cycle time or product quality — see Performance Validation & Optimization if the plant needs to be measured against its targets.
  • Planning routine maintenance or a replacement of worn components.
  • New operators who need training on the plant.

3Typical Service Workflow

Each request follows a clear sequence so that you know what happens next:

  • 1. Service request: You describe the plant, the issue and the support you need through the request form.
  • 2. Initial review: Our engineers review the details and may ask for photographs, videos, readings or drawings.
  • 3. Diagnosis and recommendation: A recommended corrective action is shared, remotely where possible.
  • 4. Scope confirmation: Where a site visit, spare parts or a training session is needed, the scope is confirmed with you.
  • 5. Corrective action: The agreed action is carried out, with your team involved as required.
  • 6. Follow-up: The outcome is reviewed, and preventive recommendations are noted for the future.

4What We Need From You

The more complete the details, the faster the first review. Please share:

  • Plant or equipment name, and the Mechotech project or order reference if you have it.
  • A description of the issue, when it started and how often it occurs.
  • Photographs, videos, alarm messages or operating readings.
  • Process duty — solvent or medium, operating temperature and vacuum.
  • Site location and a contact person at the plant.
  • Any maintenance already carried out on the affected equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does after-sales support cover?+
Support can include remote troubleshooting, on-site service visits as needed, spare parts, preventive maintenance guidance and operator training. The scope that applies to your plant is confirmed once our engineers have reviewed the equipment and your request.
Can the issue be solved without a site visit?+
Some issues can be diagnosed and resolved remotely from the information you share. Where that is not possible, an on-site visit can be arranged. Whether a visit is needed is decided after the initial review.
Do you support plants that were not supplied by Mechotech?+
Support for equipment of other makes is not assumed. Share the equipment details through the request form and the team will confirm what support can be offered.
How is after-sales support different from an AMC?+
After-sales support responds to a specific request such as an issue, a part or a training need. An Annual Maintenance Contract is a planned arrangement with agreed periodic inspections and reporting. Many plants use both.
What information should I send with a service request?+
The plant or equipment name, a description of the issue, photographs or videos, any alarms or readings, the process duty and the plant location. A project or order reference helps if you have one.
