Manufacturing Process

Spent solvent collection

Used or contaminated solvent is collected from the process into a feed tank. Segregating streams by solvent type improves recovery quality and simplifies purification.

Pre-filtration & conditioning

Coarse solids and sludge are removed by pre-filtration and the feed is conditioned for distillation. Clean feed protects the evaporator and improves separation efficiency.

Distillation & vaporization

The solvent is heated so the clean fraction vaporizes and leaves non-volatile impurities behind. Vacuum is applied where needed to protect heat-sensitive solvents.

Fractionation or polishing

Where higher purity is required, vapor passes through a rectification column or the liquid is treated with carbon or drying media. This removes close-boiling impurities, color or moisture.

Condensation & solvent capture

The purified vapor is condensed to a clean liquid in the condenser. Efficient condensation captures the solvent and minimises vapor losses to atmosphere.

Drying to specification

If the solvent must be anhydrous, residual water is removed by azeotropic distillation or drying media. The dried solvent is verified against its moisture specification.

Purified solvent collection
