Flower Spikes / Flowering Tops
Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey flower & buds oils distillation plants for Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), processing fresh flower spikes and flowering tops into premium, linalool and linalyl-acetate-rich Lavender essential oil plus aromatic hydrosol. As a lavender oil extraction plant manufacturer, we supply the complete steam-distillation line — flower handling, distillation vessel, condenser, Florentine oil-water separation, and vacuum polishing — for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, fragrance and cosmetic industries.
Mechotech's Lavender plant is engineered around the real chemistry of Lavandula angustifolia: gentle low-pressure steam distillation releases the volatile monoterpenes and esters — chiefly linalool and linalyl acetate — without scorching delicate floral top-notes, while a matched Florentine separator recovers both the essential oil and a hydrosol co-product. Built in SS 316L with high-efficiency condensers, PLC-SCADA automation and full batch documentation, each plant is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system with GMP and HACCP hygienic design, its linalool and linalyl acetate content specified per ISO 3515, with capacity and automation configured to the customer's requirement.

Manufacturing Process
Raw Material Reception & Inspection
Freshly harvested Lavender flower spikes and flowering tops are received, inspected for freshness, and gently handled to minimise bruising and preserve delicate aromatic esters before distillation.
Flower Preparation & Charging
Prepared flowers are loosely charged into the SS 316L steam distillation vessel to maintain even steam permeation through the bed, maximising oil release without compaction losses.
Steam Distillation
Low-pressure saturated steam passes through the flower charge, gently volatilising linalool, linalyl acetate, lavandulol, terpinen-4-ol and other aroma compounds without scorching heat-sensitive floral top-notes.
Condensation
Vapours pass through high-efficiency shell-and-tube condensers with chilled-water circulation, rapidly condensing the essential oil and aqueous hydrosol while preserving aromatic integrity.
Florentine Oil–Water Separation
Condensate gravity-separates in a stainless-steel Florentine vessel; the lighter essential oil is drawn off while the aromatic hydrosol is collected separately as a co-product.
Vacuum Polishing
The crude oil undergoes vacuum polishing to remove residual moisture and trace particulates while preserving its natural linalool/linalyl-acetate profile.
Quality Standardisation
Each batch is analysed for linalool, linalyl acetate, camphor, terpinen-4-ol, refractive index, specific gravity, optical rotation, moisture and GC-MS fingerprint against ISO 3515.
Storage & Packing
Essential oil and hydrosol are filled into light-protected, food/pharma-grade containers under batch-traceable, GMP-controlled conditions ready for dispatch.

Key Features
SS 316L Construction
All product-contact surfaces are SS 316L for corrosion resistance and product purity, with CIP capability between batches.
Efficient Condensation
High-surface-area multi-tube condensers with chilled-water circulation maximise oil recovery and minimise losses of volatile top-notes.
Distillation Still / Extraction Equipment
The still — the core extraction equipment — is configured for the distillation mode best suited to the feedstock, protecting heat-sensitive aroma compounds.
Hydrosol Recovery
Integrated separation allows recovery of the aromatic hydrosol as a co-product.
Scalable Capacity
Plants are configured to requirement from pilot scale upward, with modular expansion.
