Cassie Floral Concrete & Absolute Extraction Plants — Mechotech

Cassie

Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey floral concrete & absolute extraction plants for Cassie (Acacia farnesiana). We supply the complete machinery to process Cassie into an absolute configured to the client’s target specification for fragrance and perfumery applications. Cassie absolute is derived from the flowers of Acacia farnesiana and is used in high-end perfumery, cosmetics and aromatherapy.

Mechotech’s Cassie plant is configured around the raw material and the target extract. It is built in SS 316L with integrated solvent recovery, automation and full documentation, and is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system. Final parameters are established during process development. Cassie (Acacia farnesiana) flowers are small and delicate and their aroma is heat-sensitive, so the line is built around gentle solvent extraction to a concrete, filtration, vacuum concentration and low-temperature solvent removal.

Manufacturing Process

1

Raw Material Preparation

Cassie (Acacia farnesiana) flowers are cleaned and handled gently so that the delicate floral aroma is not lost; the harvest-to-extraction time and feed form are confirmed with the client and set during process development.

2

Extraction

Milled Cassie is extracted with food-grade solvent (alcohol / aqueous) in closed jacketed SS 316L extractors under controlled temperature and multiple cycles to maximise recovery of the target actives.

3

Filtration

The extract (miscella) is clarified through a plate-and-frame filter press followed by cartridge polish filters.

4

Concentration & Solvent Recovery

The miscella is concentrated in a falling-film / vacuum evaporator, with solvent recovered through the condenser return system.

5

Standardisation

The concentrate is assayed and adjusted to the declared target specification before the final finishing step.

6

Finishing & Quality Control

The standardised Cassie extract is finished to the required product form (any drying or distillation step is defined during process development), then released after assay, residual-solvent, heavy-metal, microbial and moisture testing.

  • Cosmetics and skin-care products
  • Traditional and herbal formulations (as listed by Sureka Life Sciences)

Key Features

  • SS 316L Construction

Electropolished SS 316L product-contact surfaces with CIP operation between batches.

  • Closed-Loop Solvent Recovery

Integrated condenser-return recovery reuses solvent between batches and reduces solvent loss.

  • Standardised to Specification

In-process and batch-release assay are used to check the finished extract against the agreed target specification.

  • Finishing to Product Form

The finishing step is configured to the required product form during process development.

  • Scalable Batch Capacity

Plants are configured to requirement from pilot scale upward, with modular expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mechotech supply the complete machinery for Cassie?
Yes. Mechotech supplies the complete turnkey plant for Cassie — engineered, fabricated at our Hyderabad facility, installed and commissioned as a single integrated system. Final process parameters are established during process development and pilot validation.
What specification can the Cassie plant achieve?
The plant is configured to the client’s target specification; the specification achieved is established during process development and pilot validation, and each batch is released with batch-release testing and certificate-of-analysis documentation.
What production capacities are available for the Cassie plant?
Capacity for the Cassie plant is configured to raw-material supply, confirmed buyer volume and investment timeline, starting at pilot scale; a pilot plant is recommended to validate parameters before scaling.
Which industries use the Cassie plant?
The end-use areas listed for Cassie on this page are given under Applications. The end use and the target specification are confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.
Which raw material is processed in the Cassie plant?
The catalogue lists cassie absolute as derived from the flowers of Acacia farnesiana. The exact feed form is confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.
How does the Cassie extraction process work?
The prepared Cassie raw material is extracted with food-grade solvent in closed jacketed SS 316L extractors, clarified by filtration, concentrated with solvent recovery, standardised and finished to the required product form before quality control.
Which marker does the cassie extract carry?
The Sureka Life Sciences catalogue lists methyl gallate as the marker compound of cassie extract (Acacia farnesiana, floral concrete and absolute route) and lists perfume and aromatherapy among its uses. The level achievable for a given flower supply is established during process development, and the specification is agreed with the buyer.
