Champa Floral Concrete & Absolute Extraction Plants — Mechotech

Champa

Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey floral concrete & absolute extraction plants for Champa. We supply the complete machinery to process Champa into an absolute configured to the client’s target specification for fragrance and perfumery applications. Champa absolute is extracted from Michelia champaca flowers and is prized in perfumery, skincare and aromatherapy for its rich, deep, exotic floral scent.

Mechotech’s Champa plant is configured around the raw material and the target extract. It is built in SS 316L with integrated solvent recovery, automation and full documentation, and is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system. Final parameters are established during process development. Champa flowers are delicate and aromatic, so the line is built around gentle solvent extraction to a concrete, vacuum concentration and low-temperature solvent removal.

Manufacturing Process

1

Raw Material Preparation

Champa (Michelia champaca) flowers are cleaned and handled gently so the delicate floral aroma is not lost; the harvest-to-extraction time and feed form are set during process development.

2

Extraction

Milled Champa is extracted with food-grade solvent (alcohol / aqueous) in closed jacketed SS 316L extractors under controlled temperature and multiple cycles to maximise recovery of the target actives.

3

Filtration

The extract (miscella) is clarified through a plate-and-frame filter press followed by cartridge polish filters.

4

Concentration & Solvent Recovery

The miscella is concentrated in a falling-film / vacuum evaporator, with solvent recovered through the condenser return system.

5

Standardisation

The concentrate is assayed and adjusted to the declared target specification before the final finishing step.

6

Finishing & Quality Control

The standardised Champa extract is finished to the required product form (any drying or distillation step is defined during process development), then released after assay, residual-solvent, heavy-metal, microbial and moisture testing.

Key Features

  • SS 316L Construction

Electropolished SS 316L product-contact surfaces with CIP operation between batches.

  • Closed-Loop Solvent Recovery

Integrated condenser-return recovery reuses solvent between batches and reduces solvent loss.

  • Standardised to Specification

In-process and batch-release assay are used to check the finished extract against the agreed target specification.

  • Finishing to Product Form

The finishing step is configured to the required product form during process development.

  • Scalable Batch Capacity

Plants are configured to requirement from pilot scale upward, with modular expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mechotech supply the complete machinery for Champa?
Yes. Mechotech supplies the complete turnkey plant for Champa — engineered, fabricated at our Hyderabad facility, installed and commissioned as a single integrated system. Final process parameters are established during process development and pilot validation.
What specification can the Champa plant achieve?
The plant is configured to the client’s target specification for Champa. The specification that can be achieved is established during process development and pilot validation, and each batch is released with batch-release testing and certificate-of-analysis documentation.
What production capacities are available for the Champa plant?
Capacity for the Champa plant is configured to raw-material supply, confirmed buyer volume and investment timeline, starting at pilot scale; a pilot plant is recommended to validate parameters before scaling.
Which industries use the Champa plant?
The end-use areas listed for Champa on this page are given under Applications. The end use and the target specification are confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.
Which raw material is processed in the Champa plant?
The catalogue lists champa absolute as extracted from Michelia champaca flowers. The exact feed form is confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.
How does the Champa extraction process work?
The prepared Champa raw material is extracted with food-grade solvent in closed jacketed SS 316L extractors, clarified by filtration, concentrated with solvent recovery, standardised and finished to the required product form before quality control.
How does Champa differ from the Magnolia champac pages?
Champa is listed as Michelia champaca (synonym Magnolia champaka) on the concrete and absolute route. Mechotech also lists Magnolia and Magnolia / White Champac as separate pages; the catalogue does not state whether their raw material is the same flower, so the species is confirmed with the client. The Sureka Life Sciences entry lists magnolol as the marker compound.
