Leaves

Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey leaves oils distillation plants for Cinnamon Leaf, standardised to Leaves. Cinnamon leaf oil is dominated by eugenol (typically 70–90%), a clove-like, medicinal-character marker compound that is more abundant and lower-priced than bark oil, serving fragrance, flavour, and eugenol-derived downstream chemistry markets. As a cinnamon leaf oil extraction plant manufacturer, we supply the complete machinery — steam distillation being the extraction method used — to process Cinnamon leaf into a consistent, specification-grade essential oil for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and fragrance industries, with plants installed across India and export markets.

Mechotech's Cinnamon plant is engineered from first principles around the specific chemistry and processing requirements of Cinnamon leaf oil. Built in SS 316L with integrated condensers and oil-water separation, automation, and full documentation, each plant is delivered as a commissioned, performance-verified turnkey system that reliably meets the Leaves specification.

Manufacturing Process

1

Raw Material Preparation

Cinnamon raw material is cleaned, sorted, and (where required) comminuted to the optimal particle size to maximise oil release during distillation.

2

Charging & Distillation

The prepared Cinnamon charge is loaded into the SS 316L still and distilled by steam, hydro, vacuum, or pressure distillation — selected for the volatility and heat-sensitivity of the target oil.

3

Condensation

Vapours pass through an efficient multi-tube condenser with chilled-water circulation, condensing the volatile oil and hydrosol.

4

Oil–Water Separation

Condensate is separated in a stainless-steel Florentine flask; the essential oil is collected while the hydrosol is drawn off (and can be recovered as a co-product).

5

Polishing & Drying

The crude oil is polish-filtered and dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate (or by vacuum) to remove residual moisture.

6

Quality Control

Each batch of Cinnamon oil is verified by GC-MS and physical parameters (specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation) before release.

Applications

  • Pharmaceutical standardised ingredient supply
  • Nutraceutical capsule, tablet, and supplement manufacturing
  • Food, flavour, and beverage applications
  • Cosmetic and personal care active ingredients
  • Ayurvedic and traditional medicine preparations
  • Export to regulated-market ingredient buyers

Key Features

  • SS 316L Construction

All product-contact surfaces are SS 316L for corrosion resistance and product purity, with CIP capability between batches.

  • Efficient Condensation

High-surface-area multi-tube condensers with chilled-water circulation maximise oil recovery and minimise losses of volatile top-notes.

  • Steam / Hydro / Vacuum / Pressure Extraction

The still — the core extraction equipment — is configured for the distillation mode best suited to the feedstock, protecting heat-sensitive aroma compounds.

  • Hydrosol Recovery

Integrated separation allows recovery of the aromatic hydrosol as a saleable co-product, improving plant economics.

  • Scalable Capacity

Plants are configured from pilot to multi-tonne commercial scale with modular expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mechotech supply the complete machinery for Cinnamon?
Yes. Mechotech supplies the complete turnkey plant for Cinnamon — engineered, fabricated at our Hyderabad facility, installed, and commissioned as a single performance-verified system that produces specification-grade output from day one of handover.
What specification can the Cinnamon plant achieve?
The plant is engineered to reliably reach Leaves, confirmed by batch-release testing with full certificate-of-analysis documentation.
What production capacities are available for the Cinnamon plant?
Mechotech builds Cinnamon plants from pilot systems for product development to multi-tonne commercial plants. Capacity is selected from raw-material supply, confirmed buyer volume, and investment timeline; we recommend a pilot plant to validate parameters before scaling.
Which industries use the Cinnamon plant?
Pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food and flavour, cosmetic, and fragrance manufacturers across India and export markets use Mechotech plants for consistent, compliant production.
What is the difference between cinnamon leaf oil and cinnamon bark oil?
Cinnamon leaf oil is dominated by eugenol (typically 70–90%), giving a warmer, more clove-like, medicinal character; it is more abundant and lower-priced than bark oil, and serves fragrance and flavour markets as well as being a feedstock for eugenol isolation. Cinnamon bark oil is dominated instead by cinnamaldehyde (typically 65–80%), the premium, sweet-spicy product used in fine flavour and fragrance. This page covers leaf oil — see our Cinnamon (bark) distillation plant page if bark oil is your target.
Who supplies cinnamon leaf oil extraction plants and equipment?
Mechotech is a cinnamon leaf oil extraction plant manufacturer and equipment supplier, engineering and fabricating the complete distillation line — still, condenser, Florentine separator, and drying — at our Hyderabad facility for buyers in India and export markets.
