Juniper Leaf Leaves Oils Distillation Plants — Mechotech

Juniper Leaf

Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey leaves oils distillation plants for Juniper Leaf. The plant recovers essential oil by distillation for fragrance, aromatherapy, cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical industries. The Sureka Life Sciences (SLS) catalogue lists Juniper Leaf Distillation with Juniperus communis L. as the botanical source and alpha-pinene as the marker compound. Juniper Leaf is a separate page from Juniper (berries) and Cade / Juniper (wood). It is not listed in Mechotech’s product tree or legacy page text, so the exact feed form is confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.

Mechotech’s Juniper Leaf plant is configured around the raw material and the target oil. It is built in SS 316L with integrated condensers and oil–water separation, PLC-based automation and full documentation, and is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system. The distillation mode and operating parameters are established during process development and pilot validation.

Manufacturing Process

1

Raw Material Preparation

Juniper leaf material is sorted and cleaned of foreign matter and, where required, dried or size-adjusted so that the charge packs evenly in the still.

2

Charging & Distillation

The prepared Juniper Leaf charge is loaded into the SS 316L still and distilled by steam, hydro, vacuum or pressure distillation, selected during process development for the volatility and heat-sensitivity of the target oil.

3

Condensation

Vapours pass through a multi-tube condenser with chilled-water circulation, condensing the oil and hydrosol.

4

Oil–Water Separation

Condensate is separated in a stainless-steel Florentine flask; the oil is collected and the hydrosol is drawn off and can be recovered as a co-product.

5

Polishing & Drying

The crude oil is polish-filtered and dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate or by vacuum to remove residual moisture.

6

Quality Control

Each batch is sampled for GC-MS profile and physical parameters — specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation — against the client’s specification.

Plant Output

Juniper leaf essential oilAromatic hydrosol (co-product)

Applications

  • Aromatherapy applications
  • Perfumery and fragrance compositions
  • Household fragrance
  • Skincare products

Key Features

  • SS 316L Construction

Product-contact surfaces are SS 316L for corrosion resistance and product purity, with CIP capability between batches.

  • Efficient Condensation

Multi-tube condensers with chilled-water circulation condense the volatile oil and hydrosol and limit loss of volatile top-notes.

  • Configurable Distillation Mode

The still is configured for steam, hydro, vacuum or pressure distillation, selected during process development for the volatility and heat-sensitivity of the target oil.

  • Hydrosol Recovery

Integrated oil–water separation allows the aromatic hydrosol to be drawn off and recovered as a co-product.

  • Scalable Capacity

Plants are configured to requirement from pilot scale upward, with modular expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mechotech supply the complete machinery for Juniper Leaf?
Yes. Mechotech supplies the complete turnkey plant for Juniper Leaf — engineered, fabricated at our Hyderabad facility, installed and commissioned as a single integrated system. Final process parameters are established during process development and pilot validation.
What specification can the Juniper Leaf plant achieve?
The plant is configured to the client’s target specification for Juniper Leaf; the specification achieved is established during process development and pilot validation, and each batch is released with batch-release testing and certificate-of-analysis documentation.
What production capacities are available for the Juniper Leaf plant?
Capacity for the Juniper Leaf plant is configured to raw-material supply, confirmed buyer volume and investment timeline, starting at pilot scale; a pilot plant is recommended to validate parameters before scaling.
Which end uses are listed for the Juniper Leaf plant?
For Juniper Leaf oil, the Sureka Life Sciences catalogue lists aromatherapy, perfumery, household fragrance and skincare as application areas; the target market is confirmed with the client.
Which part of Juniper Leaf is processed in the distillation plant?
This page is listed under Leaves Oils Distillation Plants as Juniper Leaf. The Sureka Life Sciences catalogue lists its Juniper Leaf Distillation entry under Needles & Twigs Distillation Plants. The exact feed form, such as leaves only or leaves with twigs, and fresh or dried material, is confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.
How is Juniper Leaf oil produced in the plant?
The prepared Juniper Leaf charge is loaded into an SS 316L still and distilled by steam, hydro, vacuum or pressure distillation, selected for the volatility and heat-sensitivity of the target oil. Vapours are condensed in a multi-tube condenser, the oil and hydrosol are separated in a Florentine flask, and the crude oil is polish-filtered and dried before GC-MS and physical-parameter testing.
What is the botanical source and marker compound of Juniper Leaf on this page?
The Sureka Life Sciences catalogue entry for Juniper Leaf Distillation lists Juniperus communis L. as the botanical source and alpha-pinene as the marker compound. The target oil specification is confirmed with the client before the plant is configured.
How does Juniper Leaf differ from the other Juniper pages?
The Juniper pages cover different plant parts and routes. This page covers juniper leaf material by distillation. Juniper (berries) covers the berry distillation plant, Juniper Berry Oil (CO₂) covers the CO₂ route for berries, and Cade / Juniper covers juniper wood (Juniperus oxycedrus L. on that page). Choose the page that matches the plant part and oil you intend to produce.
Which other plants does Mechotech list in the leaves-oil distillation range?
The hub Leaves Oils Distillation Plants lists the leaf-oil plants, including Hyssop, Kaffir Lime Petitgrain, Kunzea and Myrtle. Needle and twig feedstocks are grouped under Needles & Twigs Distillation Plants.
