Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) Herbal Extraction Plants — Mechotech

Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum)

Purity Levels

3% Allicin by HPLC

Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey herbal extraction plants for Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum), a standardised, allicin-active botanical powder extract standardised to 3% Allicin by HPLC — distinct from raw garlic oleoresin processing. We supply the complete machinery to convert dried garlic material into a consistent, HPLC-verified extract powder for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and fragrance industries.

Mechotech's Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) plant is engineered around the allicin-standardisation chemistry of garlic: solvent extraction of the alliin/allicin-active fraction, purification, and precise HPLC-based standardisation to a declared assay, then drying into a stable, free-flowing extract powder. Built in SS 316L with integrated closed-loop solvent recovery, automation, and full documentation, each plant is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system engineered to the 3% Allicin by HPLC specification.

Manufacturing Process

1

Raw Material Preparation

Dried garlic material is authenticated, tested for moisture, and milled to a uniform particle size to maximise surface area ahead of enzymatic conversion and extraction.

2

Enzymatic Conversion (Alliin to Allicin)

Milled garlic is held under controlled temperature and pH so the naturally present enzyme Alliinase converts odourless Alliin into bioactive Allicin and related organosulfur compounds, generating the allicin-active fraction the finished extract is later standardised against.

3

Extraction

The enzymatically converted garlic is extracted with food-grade solvent (alcohol / aqueous) in closed jacketed SS 316L extractors under controlled, low-temperature conditions and multiple cycles to maximise recovery of allicin and related actives while minimising oxidation.

4

Filtration

The extract (miscella) is clarified through a plate-and-frame filter press followed by cartridge polish filters.

5

Concentration & Solvent Recovery

The miscella is concentrated in a falling-film / vacuum evaporator with closed-loop solvent recovery through the condenser return system.

6

Standardisation

The concentrate is assayed by HPLC and adjusted to the declared specification of 3% Allicin before drying.

7

Drying & Quality Control

The standardised Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) extract is spray- or vacuum-dried into a free-flowing powder, then released after assay, residual-solvent, heavy-metal, microbial, and moisture testing.

  • Integrated Drying

A matched spray/vacuum dryer produces a free-flowing, low-moisture powder ready for encapsulation and blending.

  • Scalable Batch Capacity

Plants are configured to requirement from pilot scale upward, with modular expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mechotech supply the complete machinery for Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum)?
Yes. Mechotech is a garlic extraction plant manufacturer and equipment supplier, engineering and fabricating the complete turnkey plant for Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) at our Hyderabad facility, installing and commissioning it as a single integrated system.
What specification can the Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) plant achieve?
The catalogue lists 3% Allicin by HPLC for this extract. The plant is configured to the client’s target specification; the specification achieved is established during process development and pilot validation, and batch-release testing with certificate-of-analysis documentation is defined with the client.
How does this differ from Mechotech's raw Garlic oleoresin plant?
This line is built on our herbal extraction plant platform to produce a dried, HPLC-standardised allicin powder extract from garlic material — solvent extraction, purification, and precise assay-based standardisation. For raw-bulb crushing, enzymatic conversion, and oleoresin/oil processing, see our Garlic spices oleoresin plant instead.
What production capacities are available for the Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) plant?
Mechotech builds Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) plants from pilot systems for product development to commercial-scale plants. Capacity is selected from raw-material supply, confirmed buyer volume, and investment timeline; we recommend a pilot plant to validate parameters before scaling.
Which industries use the Garlic Extract (Allium Sativum) plant?
Pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food and flavour, cosmetic, and fragrance manufacturers use Mechotech plants for consistent, compliant production.
What compliance and documentation does Mechotech provide with the plant?
Each plant is engineered to GMP, HACCP and FSSAI hygienic-design norms with full documentation for qualification, and is commissioned with full batch-traceability and certificate-of-analysis support so buyer-facing quality claims are backed by validated process data.
