Soya Herbal Extraction Plants — Mechotech

Soya

Purity Levels

20% Flavonoids (extract); protein hydrolysate and isoflavone grades also configurable

Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey herbal extraction plants for Soya (Glycine max), covering the general soybean botanical-extraction angle — flavonoid-standardised extract, protein hydrolysate, and related soy-derived nutraceutical ingredients. We supply the complete machinery, from raw soybean preparation through extraction, purification, concentration and drying, into a consistent product for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and functional-beverage industries.

Mechotech's Soya plant is engineered around the real processing chemistry of Glycine max: alkaline/hydro-alcoholic extraction and isoelectric precipitation recover the plant's protein and flavonoid (isoflavone) fractions, while enzymatic hydrolysis — where required — breaks the protein into bioactive, highly digestible peptides. Built in SS 316L with integrated solvent/water recovery, membrane purification, automation and full documentation, each plant is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system configured to meet the 20% Flavonoids specification (or a customer-specified protein/peptide grade), to GMP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 standards.

Manufacturing Process

1

Raw Material Preparation

Soybean raw material (whole bean, defatted flour, or protein isolate feedstock) is authenticated, tested for moisture, and cleaned/milled to a uniform particle size to maximise extraction efficiency.

2

Extraction

Milled soya is extracted with food-grade solvent (hydro-alcoholic) or alkaline aqueous conditions in closed jacketed SS 316L extractors under controlled temperature and multiple cycles to maximise recovery of flavonoids and protein.

3

Solid–Liquid Separation & Filtration

The extract is clarified through decanter centrifuges and a plate-and-frame filter press, followed by cartridge polish filters, to remove insoluble fibre and plant solids.

4

Enzymatic Hydrolysis (Optional)

For protein-hydrolysate grades, isolated soy protein is dispersed and hydrolysed with food-grade proteolytic enzymes under intelligent dosing control to produce highly digestible bioactive peptides at a target Degree of Hydrolysis.

5

Membrane Purification

Ultrafiltration and nanofiltration systems fractionate and purify the extract or peptide stream, removing residual carbohydrates, minerals, and enzyme residues while retaining target actives.

6

Concentration & Solvent/Water Recovery

The purified stream is concentrated in a falling-film/vacuum evaporator with high solvent or process-water recovery through the condenser return system.

7

Standardisation

The concentrate is assayed and adjusted to the declared specification — 20% Flavonoids for the extract line, or a target Degree of Hydrolysis and peptide molecular-weight profile for the hydrolysate line.

8

Drying & Quality Control

The standardised Soya product is spray-dried with fluid-bed cooling, then released after assay, residual-solvent, amino-acid profile, heavy-metal, microbial, and moisture testing.

  • Scalable Batch Capacity

Plants are configured to requirement from pilot scale upward, with modular expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mechotech supply the complete machinery for Soya?
Yes. Mechotech supplies the complete turnkey plant for Soya — engineered, fabricated at our Hyderabad facility, installed and commissioned as a single integrated system.
What specification can the Soya plant achieve?
The catalogue lists 20% Flavonoids for the standard extract line for this extract. Protein hydrolysate lines are configured to a customer-specified Degree of Hydrolysis and peptide molecular-weight profile. The plant is configured to the client’s target specification; the specification achieved is established during process development and pilot validation, and batch-release testing with certificate-of-analysis documentation is defined with the client.
What production capacities are available for the Soya plant?
Mechotech builds Soya plants from pilot systems for product development to large-scale commercial production. Capacity is selected from raw-material supply, confirmed buyer volume, and investment timeline; we recommend a pilot plant to validate parameters before scaling.
Which industries use the Soya plant?
Pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, sports and clinical nutrition, food and beverage, and cosmetic manufacturers use Mechotech plants for consistent, compliant production.
How is Soya different from Mechotech's dedicated Soybean Extract Powder and Soy Protein Isolate lines?
This Soya page covers the general botanical-extraction and protein-hydrolysate angle for Glycine max. For the isoflavone-standardised extract-powder line specifically, see our Soybean Extract Powder plant, which shares much of the same extraction and purification platform and is documented in our Soy Protein Isolate Manufacturing Plant case study.
What is soy protein hydrolysate and why is it processed differently from standard soy extract?
Soy protein hydrolysate is produced by enzymatically breaking soy protein into smaller, more rapidly absorbed bioactive peptides — valued in sports nutrition, clinical nutrition and infant-nutrition ingredients for superior digestibility and solubility versus intact protein. It requires an additional enzymatic hydrolysis and membrane-fractionation stage beyond standard flavonoid extraction, which Mechotech can integrate into the same Soya plant platform.
