Shilajit Extract
Purity Levels
Fulvic Acids By Gravimetry 5% to 50%
Extraction Technologies
Mechotech designs and manufactures turnkey purification plants for Shilajit, standardised to 5-50% Fulvic acids by Gravimetry. Shilajit is not a botanical extract in the conventional sense — it is a mineral-organic exudate formed over long periods from decomposed plant and microbial matter compressed within high-altitude rock strata, rich in fulvic and humic acid fractions along with trace minerals. Because the raw resin can carry heavy-metal, microbial, and free-radical contamination picked up from its geological source, our plants are engineered around purification and detoxification of the raw material rather than solvent-based actives recovery, delivering a food/pharma-safe, fulvic-acid-standardised extract for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries. Candidate extraction technologies for fulvic acids: Counter-Current Extraction (CCE), Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE), Hybrid Extraction and Microwave-Assisted Extraction (MAE) (4 in total).
Mechotech's Shilajit plant is built around the genuinely different processing chemistry of a mineral-organic exudate rather than a plant tissue: raw resin is dissolved and clarified in an aqueous (not organic-solvent) system, insoluble rock and plant debris is removed by multi-stage filtration, and the purified liquor is concentrated and dried to a stable, standardised powder or resin. Built in SS 316L with electropolished product-contact surfaces and full documentation, each plant is delivered as a commissioned turnkey system engineered for purification and detoxification of raw Shilajit rather than solvent extraction, configured to the declared Fulvic Acids By Gravimetry 5% to 50% specification.

Manufacturing Process
Each extraction method follows a different process — pick a method to see its steps.
Raw-Material Preparation
Purified shilajit resin is cleaned and size-reduced so fulvic acids can be reached by the extraction medium; particle size and moisture are set during process development.
Counter-Current Loading
Prepared purified shilajit resin is fed into a multi-stage solid–liquid counter-current extractor where fresh ethanol/water or a suitable food-grade solvent meets the most-depleted material.
Counter-Current Extraction
Solvent flows against the solids across stages to draw out fulvic acids; bed flow and fines management are verified during pilot work.
Extract (Miscella) Collection
The fulvic acids-bearing miscella is collected from the fresh-feed end while spent solids are discharged from the solvent-entry end.
Concentration & Solvent Recovery
Solvent is removed from the clarified fulvic acids-bearing extract under vacuum and returned through a solvent-recovery loop; recovery performance is confirmed at pilot scale.
Standardisation & Drying
The fulvic acids extract is assayed against the declared target specification and dried or supplied as a concentrate, according to the requirement.
Raw-Material Preparation
Purified shilajit resin is cleaned and size-reduced so fulvic acids can be reached by the extraction medium; particle size and moisture are set during process development.
Slurrying
Prepared purified shilajit resin is slurried with ethanol/water or water in the extraction vessel.
Ultrasonic Cavitation
Ultrasound creates cavitation that disrupts the plant matrix and speeds release of fulvic acids; probe intensity, temperature and filtration behaviour are piloted.
Separation
Spent solids are separated by filtration or centrifugation and the extract is clarified before concentration.
Concentration & Solvent Recovery
Solvent is removed from the clarified fulvic acids-bearing extract under vacuum and returned through a solvent-recovery loop; recovery performance is confirmed at pilot scale.

Raw-Material Preparation
Purified shilajit resin is cleaned and size-reduced so fulvic acids can be reached by the extraction medium; particle size and moisture are set during process development.
Stage Sequence Selection
A deliberate combined extraction train is used: the sequence of stages is selected for fulvic acids in pilot screening and each stage is designed separately.
First Assisted Stage
The first stage releases fulvic acids from the prepared feed under controlled conditions set for that stage.
Second / Combined Stage
The second stage completes recovery of fulvic acids from the partially extracted material; stage conditions are optimised separately.
Separation & Concentration
Spent solids are removed and the combined extract is clarified and concentrated; solvent is recovered where a solvent is used.
Standardisation & Drying
The fulvic acids extract is assayed against the declared target specification and dried or supplied as a concentrate, according to the requirement.

Medium Mixing
Prepared purified shilajit resin is mixed with ethanol/water or water in the microwave extraction vessel.
Microwave Heating & Extraction
Controlled microwave heating drives fulvic acids out of the prepared feed in a short cycle; heating, moisture, solvent safety and temperature-sensitive targets are controlled, with limits set during process development and pilot validation.
Separation
Spent solids are separated by filtration or centrifugation and the extract is clarified before concentration.

Key Features
GMP Hygienic SS 316L Construction
Electropolished SS 316L product-contact surfaces use GMP hygienic design, with CIP operation between batches.
Purification-Led Process, Not Solvent Extraction
The plant is engineered around aqueous dissolution and multi-stage purification of raw resin — reflecting Shilajit's real nature as a mineral-organic exudate rather than a plant tissue requiring solvent-based actives recovery.
Dedicated Detoxification Stage
A purification step specifically targets heavy-metal and microbial contaminants that raw Shilajit resin can carry from its geological source, a requirement not shared by conventional botanical extraction lines.
Standardised to Specification
In-process and batch-release gravimetric assay are used to check the finished Shilajit extract against its declared Fulvic Acids By Gravimetry 5% to 50% specification.
Low-Temperature Processing
Concentration and drying are run at controlled low temperature to protect the fulvic/humic acid structures from thermal degradation.
Flexible Final Form
The line can finish product as a free-flowing standardised powder or as a traditional semi-solid purified resin, to match buyer specification.
